Yetneh — Privacy Notice

1. Who controls your data

Yetneh is the data controller for the personal data described here. We process it to run the app and provide the services you ask for. For any privacy question or data request, reach us at privacy@yetneh.com or through the support option in the app; we aim to respond promptly.

2. What we collect

We collect only what we need to run the service:

Account details — your name, phone number and the profile information you provide.
Location data — your device's GPS position when you use a location feature, and continuous location in the background while “Track me” is on, even when the app is closed or not in use.
Service activity — rides, deliveries, food and marketplace orders, gifts, messages, ratings and reviews.
Wallet and payment activity — top-ups, fees and transaction records.
People you add — the contacts in your circle that you choose to share with or track.
Device and technical data — device type, app version, and basic logs needed for security and to keep the app working.

3. Why we use it, and our lawful basis

Under the Personal Data Protection Proclamation (No. 1321/2024) we rely on:

Performing our contract with you — to connect you with providers, complete orders and deliveries, run your wallet and show your history.
Your consent — for GPS tracking (“Track me”) and for sharing your location with people in your circle; you can withdraw it at any time.
Legal obligation — to keep transaction records and meet tax and other legal requirements.
Legitimate interest — to keep the platform safe, prevent fraud and abuse, and improve the service.

4. Location tracking

Location deserves special care. GPS tracking is OFF by default and turns on only with your clear, separate consent. Yetneh collects location in the background — even when the app is closed or not in use — only while “Track me” is on, and you can switch it off at any time. You control which circle members may see your location. We share location only with the people and providers needed for what you asked — for example a courier fulfilling your delivery, or a circle member you allow. You must not use tracking to monitor anyone without their consent.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as needed to run the service:

Independent providers — drivers, couriers, restaurants and sellers receive what they need to complete your order. They are independent and responsible for their own use of your data.
People you choose — circle members you share your location or history with.
Service providers who help us operate (for example hosting, SMS and push-notification delivery), under confidentiality obligations.
Authorities — where we are legally required to, or to protect safety and prevent harm.

6. How long we keep it

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose we collected it, or as the law requires — for example transaction records are kept to meet legal and tax obligations. Continuous location history is kept for a limited window unless you choose to retain it, and is deleted or anonymised when no longer needed.

7. How we protect it

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures — including access controls and encryption in transit — to protect your data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No system is perfectly secure, so please also keep your phone, PIN and login details safe.

8. Your rights

Under the Personal Data Protection Proclamation you may:

Access the personal data we hold about you.
Correct data that is wrong or out of date.
Delete your data where the law allows.
Object to or restrict certain processing.
Withdraw consent at any time (for example by turning off “Track me”).
Receive a copy of data you provided.

9. Children

Yetneh is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has used the app, please contact us so we can remove their data.

10. Changes to this Notice

We may update this Notice and will make the new version available in the app and on this page. Significant changes that affect your rights will be brought to your attention.

11. Contact and complaints

For any privacy question, data request or complaint, reach us at privacy@yetneh.com or through the support option in the app. If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to complain to the supervisory authority responsible for data protection in Ethiopia.

This Notice is a good-faith summary in plain language and is governed by the laws of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, including the Personal Data Protection Proclamation No. 1321/2024. Where that law grants you a right, that right prevails over anything stated here.

የተሻሻለበት ጊዜ፦ ሰኔ 2018 ዓ.ም. (ጁን 2026)

1. የእርስዎን መረጃ ማን ይቆጣጠራል

የትነህ እዚህ ላይ ለተገለጸው የግል መረጃ የመረጃ ተቆጣጣሪ ነው። መተግበሪያውን ለማንቀሳቀስና የሚጠይቋቸውን አገልግሎቶች ለማቅረብ እንሠራበታለን። ለማንኛውም የግላዊነት ጥያቄ ወይም የመረጃ ጥያቄ፣ በprivacy@yetneh.com ወይም በመተግበሪያው ውስጥ ባለው የድጋፍ አማራጭ በኩል ያግኙን፤ በፍጥነት ምላሽ ለመስጠት እንተጋለን።

2. ምን እንሰበስባለን

አገልግሎቱን ለማንቀሳቀስ የሚያስፈልገንን ብቻ እንሰበስባለን፦

የመለያ ዝርዝሮች — ስምዎ፣ ስልክ ቁጥርዎ እና የሚሰጡት የመገለጫ መረጃ።
የአካባቢ መረጃ — የአካባቢ ባህሪ ሲጠቀሙ የመሣሪያዎ የጂፒኤስ ቦታ፣ እና “ተከታተለኝ” በርቶ እያለ መተግበሪያው ተዘግቶ ወይም ሥራ ላይ ሳይውል እንኳ ቀጣይነት ያለው አካባቢ በጀርባ።
የአገልግሎት እንቅስቃሴ — ጉዞዎች፣ ማድረሻዎች፣ የምግብና የገበያ ቦታ ትዕዛዞች፣ ስጦታዎች፣ መልዕክቶች፣ ደረጃዎችና ግምገማዎች።
የቦርሳና የክፍያ እንቅስቃሴ — ሙሌቶች (top-up)፣ ክፍያዎችና የግብይት መዝገቦች።
የሚጨምሯቸው ሰዎች — በክብዎ ውስጥ ለማጋራት ወይም ለመከታተል የመረጧቸው ዕውቂያዎች።
የመሣሪያና የቴክኒክ መረጃ — የመሣሪያ ዓይነት፣ የመተግበሪያ ስሪት፣ እና ለደህንነትና መተግበሪያው እንዲሠራ የሚያስፈልጉ መሠረታዊ መዝገቦች።

3. ለምን እንጠቀምበታለን፤ የሕጋዊነታችን መሠረት

በግል መረጃ ጥበቃ አዋጅ (ቁጥር 1321/2024) መሠረት የምንመረኮዘው በሚከተሉት ላይ ነው፦

ከእርስዎ ጋር ያለንን ውል መፈጸም — ከአገልግሎት ሰጪዎች ጋር ለማገናኘት፣ ትዕዛዞችንና ማድረሻዎችን ለማጠናቀቅ፣ ቦርሳዎን ለማንቀሳቀስና ታሪክዎን ለማሳየት።
የእርስዎ ፈቃድ — ለጂፒኤስ ክትትል (“ተከታተለኝ”) እና አካባቢዎን በክብዎ ካሉ ሰዎች ጋር ለማጋራት፤ በማንኛውም ጊዜ ማንሳት ይችላሉ።
ሕጋዊ ግዴታ — የግብይት መዝገቦችን ለመያዝና የግብርና ሌሎች ሕጋዊ መስፈርቶችን ለማሟላት።
ሕጋዊ ጥቅም — መድረኩን ደህንነቱ የተጠበቀ ለማድረግ፣ ማጭበርበርንና አላግባብ መጠቀምን ለመከላከል እና አገልግሎቱን ለማሻሻል።

4. የአካባቢ ክትትል

አካባቢ ልዩ ጥንቃቄ ይፈልጋል። የጂፒኤስ ክትትል በነባሪ የጠፋ ሲሆን የሚበራው በእርስዎ ግልጽና የተለየ ፈቃድ ብቻ ነው። የትነህ አካባቢን በጀርባ — መተግበሪያው ተዘግቶ ወይም ሥራ ላይ ሳይውል እንኳ — የሚሰበስበው “ተከታተለኝ” በርቶ እያለ ብቻ ነው፤ በማንኛውም ጊዜ ማጥፋት ይችላሉ። የትኞቹ የክብ አባላት አካባቢዎን ማየት እንደሚችሉ ይቆጣጠራሉ። አካባቢን የምናጋራው ለጠየቁት ነገር ከሚያስፈልጉ ሰዎችና አገልግሎት ሰጪዎች ጋር ብቻ ነው — ለምሳሌ ማድረሻዎን ከሚፈጽም አስተላላፊ፣ ወይም ከፈቀዱለት የክብ አባል ጋር። ክትትልን ማንንም ሰው ያለ ፈቃዱ ለመከታተል መጠቀም የለብዎትም።

5. ከማን ጋር እናጋራዋለን

የግል መረጃዎን አንሸጥም። የምናጋራው አገልግሎቱን ለማንቀሳቀስ እንደሚያስፈልገው ብቻ ነው፦

ነፃ አገልግሎት ሰጪዎች — ሾፌሮች፣ አስተላላፊዎች፣ ምግብ ቤቶችና ሻጮች ትዕዛዝዎን ለማጠናቀቅ የሚያስፈልጋቸውን ያገኛሉ። እነሱ ነፃ ሲሆኑ መረጃዎን በራሳቸው ለመጠቀም ኃላፊነቱ የእነሱ ነው።
የመረጧቸው ሰዎች — አካባቢዎን ወይም ታሪክዎን የሚያጋሩአቸው የክብ አባላት።
እንድንሠራ የሚረዱን አገልግሎት ሰጪዎች (ለምሳሌ ሆስቲንግ፣ ኤስኤምኤስ እና የግፊት ማሳወቂያ ማድረስ)፣ በሚስጥር ጥበቃ ግዴታዎች ሥር።
ባለሥልጣናት — በሕግ ስንገደድ፣ ወይም ደህንነትን ለመጠበቅና ጉዳትን ለመከላከል።

6. ለምን ያህል ጊዜ እንይዘዋለን

የግል መረጃን የምንይዘው ለሰበሰብንበት ዓላማ እስከሚያስፈልግ ጊዜ ድረስ ብቻ፣ ወይም ሕጉ እንደሚጠይቀው ነው — ለምሳሌ የግብይት መዝገቦች ሕጋዊና የግብር ግዴታዎችን ለማሟላት ይያዛሉ። ቀጣይነት ያለው የአካባቢ ታሪክ እንዲቆይ ካልመረጡ በስተቀር ለተወሰነ ጊዜ ይቀመጣል፤ ካላስፈለገም ይሰረዛል ወይም ማንነቱ እንዳይታወቅ ይደረጋል።

7. እንዴት እንጠብቀዋለን

መረጃዎን ከመጥፋት፣ ከአላግባብ መጠቀምና ካልተፈቀደ መዳረሻ ለመጠበቅ ምክንያታዊ የቴክኒክና የድርጅት እርምጃዎችን — የመዳረሻ ቁጥጥሮችንና በመተላለፍ ላይ ያለ ምስጠራን (encryption) ጨምሮ — እንጠቀማለን። የትኛውም ሥርዓት ፍጹም ደህንነቱ የተጠበቀ አይደለም፤ ስለዚህ እባክዎ ስልክዎን፣ ፒንዎንና የመግቢያ ዝርዝሮችዎን እንዲሁ ጠብቀው ያቆዩ።

8. የእርስዎ መብቶች

በግል መረጃ ጥበቃ አዋጅ መሠረት የሚከተሉትን ማድረግ ይችላሉ፦

ስለ እርስዎ የያዝነውን የግል መረጃ ማግኘት።
ትክክል ያልሆነ ወይም ጊዜው ያለፈበት መረጃ ማረም።
ሕጉ በሚፈቅድበት ጊዜ መረጃዎን መሰረዝ።
አንዳንድ ሥራዎችን መቃወም ወይም መገደብ።
ፈቃድን በማንኛውም ጊዜ ማንሳት (ለምሳሌ “ተከታተለኝ”ን በማጥፋት)።
የሰጡትን መረጃ ቅጂ ማግኘት።

ከእነዚህ ውስጥ ማንኛውንም ለመጠቀም፣ በprivacy@yetneh.com ወይም በመተግበሪያ ውስጥ ባለው የድጋፍ አማራጭ በኩል ያግኙን።

9. ልጆች

የትነህ ለ18 ዓመትና ከዚያ በላይ ለሆኑ ተጠቃሚዎች የታሰበ ነው። ከልጆች መረጃ ሆን ብለን አንሰበስብም። አንድ ልጅ መተግበሪያውን እንደተጠቀመ ካመኑ፣ መረጃውን እንድናስወግድ እባክዎ ያግኙን።

10. የዚህ ማስታወቂያ ለውጥ

ይህን ማስታወቂያ ልናሻሽል እንችላለን፤ አዲሱንም ቅጂ በመተግበሪያው ውስጥና በዚህ ገጽ ላይ እናቀርባለን። መብቶችዎን የሚነኩ ጉልህ ለውጦች ለእርስዎ ትኩረት ይቀርባሉ።

11. ማግኛ እና ቅሬታዎች

ለማንኛውም የግላዊነት ጥያቄ፣ የመረጃ ጥያቄ ወይም ቅሬታ፣ በprivacy@yetneh.com ወይም በመተግበሪያው ውስጥ ባለው የድጋፍ አማራጭ በኩል ያግኙን። በምላሻችን ካልረኩ፣ በኢትዮጵያ የመረጃ ጥበቃን በሚመለከት ኃላፊ ለሆነው የቁጥጥር ባለሥልጣን የማማረር መብት አለዎት።

ይህ ማስታወቂያ በቀላል ቋንቋ የቀረበ በሐሰናዊ ግምት ላይ የተመሠረተ ማጠቃለያ ሲሆን፣ የግል መረጃ ጥበቃ አዋጅ ቁጥር 1321/2024ን ጨምሮ በኢትዮጵያ ፌዴራላዊ ዲሞክራሲያዊ ሪፐብሊክ ሕጎች ይተዳደራል። ያ ሕግ መብት በሚሰጥዎት ጊዜ፣ ያ መብት እዚህ ላይ ከተገለጸው ሁሉ ይቀድማል።
